Google and Squarespace ANALYTICS
We collect information on visitors to our site through both Google Analytics and through the Analytics tools available through Squarespace, our website provider. We use the data to know more about website visitors like where they come from geographically and regionally (urban versus suburban), and their sailing interests. For example, Squarespace Analytics can tell how long an anonymous reader spends reading each particular article or section of the site. Email List
When a user signs up to our email list we collect their email address. We collect this information for accuracy and security (so we know who we are communicating with) and so we can reach users who sign up to receive emails from us. We use a third-party provider, Substack.com, to acquire this information and to deliver list emails. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using Substack’s platform to better understand what content our subscribers are reading and interested in.

Bookshop.org and Zazzle.com Affiliates
Women Who Sail is a participant in the Bookshop.org and the Zazzle.com affiliates programs, affiliate advertising programs designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to products on their sites. When affiliate links are clicked, a cookie is placed on the user’s browser for 24 hours which uniquely identifies our affiliate number and awards a small percentage of any purchase made through their sites to our account. Prices are the same if you pay through an affiliate link or non-affiliate link. You will not pay more by clicking on our affiliate links.
